I had to give Brains some camera time. He wasn't too excited about it until I told him it was going to be an "Urban Flava" set. He's 9 going on 14 btw.

IT'S OFFICIALLY AN ADDICTION
Somebody call "Intervention" cuz I'm completely obsessed. Even a day at the park with the fam turns into this. Pretty soon my kids are gonna be complaining, "not another picture MOM!"
Btw, Brains was using his "Ripstick" next door at the skate park while I was watching these two so that is why he isn't pictured here this time.

Look what cute family let me take their pictures!

Their kids could NOT have been cuter or more cooperative.

Do you think that baby loves his Daddy?
I mean, how cute are they, right?
Thanks McKeon's. I loved it.

Photography fun and such
So, Shed and I were out on a date and I decided to drag him along on some of my photography assignments. We went to the Panorama bluffs and did some fun things with night shots and shutter speeds. I won't show you all of them but here are my favorites.
It is 11pm when I took this shot. Can you see my ghost husband? ::snicker::
And earlier this week I did a photo shoot with my sister's kids. We happened to schedule it on the hottest day of the week so I was dripping with sweat by the time we were through. But look how cute here kids pics turned out.

This one here is particularly indicative of their personalities.

Good times. Good times.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY
We had a nice quiet holiday with my parents and sister's fam. Early in the day was a BBQ and "water play" at my mom's house. Surprisingly, the kids actually loved this thing. And after you have an accident in your swim suit, pink princess panties (borrowed from a cousin) are a perfectly acceptable alternative. Check out that bod!
Our little fam.
Char Char is always asking to hold his baby cousin.
But his favorite cousin of all would have to be this one fer rizzles.
Later on that evening we met at my house for a small fireworks display. Baby Fatso was chillaxing in her chair.
And was also enjoying the light show.
Apparently we always have to have a Char peeing picture at every event.
Hope you all had a good one too.

I know a celebrity!
Sort of. Our good buddy (and Shed's business partner) has a sister in law who just qualified for the Olympics!! We know the whole family really well so it's pretty much like we know a celebrity. Here are a few tidbits if you are interested.
Here are some pictures. She is Lindsey Anderson. The third picture on the list is the best one. She came in second place and gets to go to Bejing for the 3000 meter steeplechase. First time for this event!

My adventurous brother
He is always planning some sort of activity and this time it was a doozy.
Kayaking on the upper Rogue river.......with all the kids.....in blow up kayaks.
Here he is getting all filled up with his pb&j before we "shove off".Shed and my SIL blowing up the kayaks.
Char Char was esssited. I'll admit I was a little skeptical. I mean, it was going to be a 3-4 hour float and I'd never kayaked before and the little ones were only 4, etc.
But these "big" kids had done it before so they were ready to go.
The first 2 hours went GREAT. I manned a kayak with Cracker and Shed had Char Char in his and then Brains was with his older cousin in one too. Everyone was loving it. Then it started to get cold and started to rain. And the kids weren't having so much fun anymore. Can you tell who wasn't?
Char Char was the only one who loved every minute of it, if you can believe that. Here is my bro's family (minus his baby).
Typical Shed if you know him well enough. ::snicker::
After some rearranging of seats and sunnier skies, it turned out to be an awesome activity. Even Cracker was smiling by the end. Maybe that had something to do with the fact he was on dry land with a Red Vine in his hand? Look at these skinny kids.
So, my assessment is this: I wouldn't want to do it every weekend, but kayaking is super fun if you have all the cool equipment like my bro does. And it would be even more fun if I lived in a place as pretty and green as that too. But alas, I live in Bak-O. ::sigh:: Good times.
