Some things to ponder

I am the best Power Ranger on the planet as proven here in my photo. Check out my score! The focus,.......the follow through....
Shed likes to make retard faces.
7 year olds (in front of Shed) DON'T like 50 foot drops.
4 year olds who are obsessed with everything scary and creepy want to be in front and think they have died and gone to heaven.

More later.......

No Tune in Tuesday,...I repeat....No Tune in Tuesday

Me and the Shed are down at Disneyland today celebrating Halloween with our obsessed kids. We've been wanting to go forever and decided now is the time. They decorate it full of Halloween stuff and my littlest is going to FREAK. Pics to come later. But until I can get back to TIT (Tune in Tuesday fer duh), I thought I'd share this cute family that let me take their pictures last weekend. Thanks Lisa and Brad........your kids are ADORABIBBLE!!

The Vokslauf Mud Run (or: "Pain is Good")

This weekend my hubby and I ran in the local Mud Run put on by the United States Marine Corps. It is a 5K race with about 30 obstacles they put in your path to slow you down. Cute how their little slogan is "Pain is Good" because I can barely move my muscles enough to type this right now. It was actually a total BLAST and here is my group of friends from the gym that we teamed up with. It was FAR-EEEZING that morning and I almost chickened out (cuz there is a lot of mud and water and even crazy water truck guys that ride around the course trying to spray you--it happened to me). I can take the heat when doing stuff like this but cold really gets to me.
These pictures come courtesy of my friend, Christy, in the gray shirt here. She and her husband (black shirt) had a friend following the course taking snap shots. So, I'm not in most of them but at least you can see what I had to do. Here is a 1/4 miles mud trench. Sometimes is was ankle deep but most of the time it was up to my waist. ::screaming quad muscles::
Here I am, very attractively, getting over the very high poles. Don't I look graceful?
The rope mountain, as I call it. Shoulda worn gloves that day. My hands were raw.
Coming down from the poles. This rope thingy was over a huge water trench.

Then there were mud tubes. Deesgusting.
After the race. Notice me in the background obviously reliving the event with my friend.
And then you got to be hosed off by the fire department. The water was actually warm!

So, in a nutshell,............I loved it. Even tho I won't be able to sit on the toilet properly for about a week. You gize wanna come do it next year?

Headbands + Jazz Hands + 1986 = The Best Post Ever

Get out your adult diapers before viewing this video because you might wet yourself whilst laughing so hard. Since I am not ashamed to embarrass myself on the world wide interweb,.....and since Aunt Visor can be a little techno UNsavvy,....I told her I would publish this on her behalf. I am the one front and center, pink underwear (on the outside), turquoise headband. I am obviously the best one there. Doyee, I have a solo. I think this is where my skillz came about for the future BYU dances and Landee and I rawked. My favorite is the splitz.

YOUR WELCOME!!

DEFEAT ALS BABY!

New pics on Memzy'sPhotography. Feedback is good.
So Saturday was a huge fundraiser walk here in Bake-town put on by the local ALS chapter. (Did I get that right Aunt Visor?) There was a big crowd who came out for Team Parks Pals in honor of this dood: ^^How cute is he?
And here are the usual suspects/shenanigans to accompany the adults on said occasion.
From left to right: Br Boy #2 (Brady--BFF to Cracker), Cracker, Carlitos (as Papa calls him), Brains, Br Boy #1 (Britton--BFF to Brains), and cousin Owen.

Here is baby Clara, chillaxing in the baby backpack. How cute that her bowbow matches the shirts?

Here are some peeps that you may recognize during the opening ceremony. Char Char looks especially patient here, yes?

These two are a pair. Brains just came from his 7:45 AM soccer game. AM!!

Uncle Visor (or Papa) had the super special honor of cutting the ribbon to start the walk/race. He'd been working out training for this and he NAILED it.

Notice the awesome sign-age that my mom put together for us to show off with.
There were actually tons of peeps. We had 40 just in our group.
Even Girlfriend (Br Boys mom) came out to support onnacuzza she's RAD and stuff and hearts The Visor's.
After such a workout who doesn't need a little rest in the lawn chair with fishy crackers?
It was our first time doing this big walk and we realized some stuff. Next year we are bringing one of those big canopy tents and setting up shop with coolers and lunch and maybe even some couches and what not. We also thought of changing the name of our group (well, only I thought it really, but I'm sure my parents would consider them). Firstly, my dad's middle name is Rio and he's always hated it. So I thought we could be "Rio's Rowdy's". Or we could just really go for it and name ourselves "Go to He** ALS!"
We had a really fun time and loved participating. You rawk Papa!

TUNE IN TUESDAYS

YOU WANT IT........YOU GOT IT.
"There is no human problem which could not be solved if people would simply do as I advise." -Gore Vidal
^^That guy is really smart....almost as smart as me. So, need some advice? Should I put black or white shoelaces with these Keds? Is it ok to substitute my regular hair conditioner with Olive Oil? Can that Mr. Clean Magic Eraser REALLY wipe anything off my walls (and speaking of that why isn't there a MRS. Clean?)?
You've got questions. AkMemzy has the answers.
Lets start off the day with the usual tid-bits of random advice shall we?
Good Advice #1: How to save money and gas in these economic times? Rather than making many short trips all over town to run your errands, consolidate them into one trip to Target, and make your husband go, in his car. Or, public transportation is a great way to get around,.... especially if you like homeless people and being late. People who drive Hummers are tools with inferiority complexes. I don't have a gas-saving tip here to go with that one, I just wanted to mention it.
Good Advice #2: You can only "fake the conversation" so long with a 4 year old. When you are driving in the car and they are saying things like, "Momma, who has grosser beyud (blood): monsters, aliens, or ghosts?".....or....." Momma, do you member my friend that one day who wants to have a pyaydate with me?"......you can only say things like, "uh-huh,.........I don't know,......yeah,........or really" before they catch on. Don't try it for too long or your kid will end up yelling from his booster seat, "Momma stop SAYING THAT every time!" Then they might foster resentment for the rest of their lives. I'm guessing you can get away with it for at least a month before they catch on and some kid might take longer. Feel it out to be sure.
Good Advice #3: I read recently in the news that astronomers have predicted a meteorite (falling star) that will be entering the earth's atomosphere that is the size of a car. This new technology allows scientists to predict exactly when and where we would be able to see this gynormous falling star. Don't wish on this star. That is cheating.
So, now it's your turn. Bring your questions and I will answer. Cuz I give good advice. But you already knew that.

IT'S LIKE, TOTALLY 80'S!!

I pulled it off successfully! I've been planning for months to throw Amy (girlfriend) a surprise birthday party this year. She's one of those people that is ALWAYS doing things for other people and never lets you "get her back" so to speak. It was a huge success and we really took her by surprise. Here is the how the digs looked (we did it at Aunt Visor's house onnacuzza she hearts Amy and also has a huge backyard). I used her "favorites list" on her blog as the theme. One of those is, of course, her boys smiles. So I stole her kids one weekend when she was out of town and did a little photo shoot. On the table is also tags of her fave things that we had there at the partay. I turned to Aunt Visor, who watches an unnatural amount of HGTV, for the outdoor decor set up. She did a flanktastic job (notice the candle lights hanging in the trees).
And here is the Shederton's in all of their 80's glory. Shed was SOO excited to peg his pants. And I have on none other than FER REALZIES "Dyeables" shoes. I'll let you borrow them if you want. Notice the side ponytail kickin.
Here we all are waiting for her knock on the door. How much do you love the pantsuit? Thank you Alana!!!!
Wha? I thought we were going to the movies!!
This is soooo Amy,......took her camera out and took pictures of US singing to her.

Here is the group watching the slide show of photos over the years of Amy, to 80's music si claro.
Aunt Visor and I each made the famous "Choc Buttermilk Bunt Cake" for her. Here is one of them as we sing to the birthday girl. ps. I think Amy had that cake for breakfast today.

This one is to emphasize the earrings and ponytail and bangs that happened after I threw her in the bathroom and had my way with her (courtesy of Goodwill thank you). Btw, her bangs just KNEW what to do with that pick and hairspray. HEART them!!
Getting her snow cone machine that we bought her to use when we all congregate at her pool during the summer almost every day. I'll bring the flavors Girlfriend!
A sampling of the cuteness of 80's girls that were there. Dana, Amy, Kelli (Joneses), Liesl (Luthi) and Sara (SAS). All blogging girls!
So, in short, it was SUPER FLANKALISCIOUS fun. Happy Birthday Girlfriend! And you aren't aloud to do anything for me in return. Then I'll be forced to throw you another surprise party at some time in the future.

FAVE FOTO FRIDAY.

This post is an effort to remind myself how much I love my littlest boy, who may or may not be driving me completely out of my mind recently. To start off , I'd like to think he looks a little like me.

Exhibit A: Memzy as toddler.

Exhibit B: Char Char as a toddler.
And this one just makes me laugh and giggle and stuff.

Memzy's Dresses-EDIT

**********EDIT**********
THIS is what you call poofy sleeves. Am I wrong? Here's me and Landee getting ready to meet our dates in the lobby of S-Hall Deseret Towers for the fall formal. I should add that this was the dress my mom made me to go to the Senior Prom (I went to the senior formal but not the prom) and never wore cuz no one would ask me. But I put it to good use this year at BYU. I'd like to point out a few things:
1. Notice Landee's perfectly coiffed "poof" on the top of her french twist. It was soo good that when I saw it I might have screamed "spray it! spray it NOW!" while running in dramatic slow motion for the RAVE hairspray.
2. Notice the huge-ness that comes from my own personal "hot stick heaven".
3. And , of course, the 12 inch (minimum) poofy sleeves. Here is a little bonus picture. I believe this was the night BEFORE that^^^ picture. We had TWO dates to the formal (they ran it Friday and Saturday night). This first date right down here was with our BFBF's (Best Friends that are Boys Forever), K and A. Notice how bored the other people are but Landee and I are ready to par-tay, no?
Not for the faint of heart. I told you gize you'd be jealous. ::stifling hysterical laughter::
#1: Formal with the bishop's son. Not even close to an item. Very much friends. To the 11teenth power. That is, however, a genuine Jessica McClintock, Gunny Sac dress. #2: My First Kiss ( I know, I know, can you believe I just typed that?) Some people who drop by might actually KNOW this guy. This was HIS prom ( which was another high school in town).
#3: Senior Prom: This guy was actually in love with another girl but she did not feel the same, so I was the "plan b". Nice guy tho, we had fun. And Aunt Visor sewed this dress for me and did a danged good job of it too.

Your welcome.

UNIFORMS

I just thought if Landee's hoodie and jeans combo didn't work out for fall I could suggest this as another uniform.I mean, am I right or am I right?
