Second Installation

Check out our digs. I must add that this was through Shed's work so we didn't pay for any of it. It was saweet.

I am converted to those low, platform beds now. Comfy.

This is what it looked from out lanai. Sleeping to the sound of the waves is goooooood.

Some other cool stuff about our hotel was the wildlife/nature stuff.
Who knew that hawaii had penguins, right?

Shed refuses to take a pic without a person in the shot. So I am the poser for most of this stuff.

You'd think I didn't know any other way to pose for a picture. Oh wait, yeah I do.

First Installation of Photos

Getting back to "real" life after vacation has been crazier than usual. A tooth crown falling off, plus getting subpoenaed to court (for my stolen purse), plus "Hayoween" <--Charlie's version............I can only give a brief installment of my awesomerest of all awesomers trips to Hawaii!!!! It begins with this: I took surfing lessons!

A couple of great things that came out of this surfing lesson were:

A: I finally got up and surfed some waves all the way in.

B: I've come to grips with the fact that surfing isn't gonna be my thing.

I guess I'm in

So, here we go. I feel like I'm jumping rear-end-first into a pool mid-winter. This whole blogging thing feels weird. But I am willing to make the "leap" to keep in better contact with my sister-in-laws. From here on out referred to as my SIL's. Apparently, I tried this whole thing a couple of years back for what reason I can't remember. But these following posts were a couple I made. I refuse to use my real name tho. So, from here on out you can all refer to this Fam Dam as the Shederton's.

I'm Memzy, the mom,
Shed is my husband and brother to all of these SIL's of which I refer to. He will be posting or commenting with me here as well.
My oldest son, Brains, is 9.
My middle son, Cracker, is 6.
My baby son, Char Char Binks, is 3.

Other than that I'm not sure what to say. Oh, except I had a 4 hour root canal today where the anesthetic wouldn't work, I treated myself to a Dewars milkshake afterwards, and my 3 year old's poo issues are getting better. That last one will be for another post tho. I think I might be getting it now.

Two reasons I am such a good mom:

#1: If I leave the kid in the high chair long enough with a good set of graham crackers and sippy cup, I can go get in the shower and he will be good to go for a nap by the time I'm done. (not one of my kids has EVER done this before--I thought it was hysterical)

#2: I sit them in front of a movie and pop some popcorn and lay out the "picnic". This is because I am so tired of being a single parent by the end of the weekend I thought I was going to scream. I had to quiet them down and go decrompress in the other end of the house for at least 5 minutes.



On a side note, the picture at the top is how Shed dressed this kid today. Blue shorts and gray shirt with red car. Am I wrong for being like, "Dood, wha?"
I mean, that kid is going out in public later and directly reflects on me. Just sayin.

I'm trying out my new blog by posting a few pictures of my recent trip to Switzerland and accompanying adventures.

I got to go paragliding, which is now Shed's new aspiration for a hobby. It was amazingly beautiful.

We got to go to the "Top of Europe" in the Swiss Alps.

So, the trip was amazing. I am testing this blog thing out to see if I actually use it much or what. Let me know what you think.
