Tucker obviously was being strangled by another cousin.

Memorial Day at the parent's house
What a nice day for bbq-ing with great weather and company.
We started off with the cub scout holding the flag in preparation for the flag salute and a little "what memorial day is all about" headed up by mi madre.

How my Char Char didn't wake up (the series)
Step One: Daddy takes toddler to Father/Son campout with older brothers
Step Two: Daddy lets toddler stay up until 11pm at night to assure easy "bedtime" in tent. (Usual bedtime being 7pm.)
Step three: Next day when toddler falls asleep at 5 pm, take a picture....

Life IS a long hard labor
Here are the lyrics in case you don't get the full effect from the video
Life can sometimes come
in an uncomfortable direction
But although that life is hard and long
it's good
Life is a hard type of labor
Life is a long type of labor
But it's good
Life, although it's hard, and long,
it's good
Life is hard
is long
is good

Mother's Day should be once a month in my opinion
Cuz I get cool stuff like homemade balloons from Cracker on my ceiling.
A plethora of homemade cards, poems, and artwork by all the boys
And a new mini-camera from by "babe-a"!! This way I can keep it in my purse and take snapshots of anything and everything that may happen to pop up when I'm not lugging around my big camera.
My mother's day was awesome. No meetings Sunday morning for Shed so he got to stay home and I wasn't aloud to lift a finger. The kids brought me burnt toast and water for breakfast in bed (so cute). Shed ironed the boys clothes, dressed them, combed hair, etc. I taught the RS lesson that day and the men subbed for all the primary teachers so they could be in there with us. Shed even conducted primary singing time! It was really nice. Then the rest of the day I got to hide out in my bedroom and nap, read my new obsession of a book THE HOST, by Stephanie Meyer, and watch TV. It can't get any better. So, who votes with me for mother's day once month? ::raising hands::

Randomness
Some of you may know what this room used to look like. Little Char Char had a toddler bed and there were a billion toys and miscellaneous items. Well lookie who got their own room now?
Speaking of guitar. This kid is my budding singer songwriter. I kid you not. He knows a million chords from his daddy teaching him and a recent song he wrote has the lyrics, "life is a long, hard, labor." I peed myself a little when I heard that. ::snicker::
And more attempts at cool photography practice.

Just because
I've wanted to expand on my photography interests for a long time now. So, I've decided to finally do something about it and signed up for a local photography class this summer. In the meantime I am going to try to just take a million pictures to keep practicing. So you all might just have to endure my constant stream of "picture practice".
