IT'S LIKE, TOTALLY 80'S!!

I pulled it off successfully! I've been planning for months to throw Amy (girlfriend) a surprise birthday party this year. She's one of those people that is ALWAYS doing things for other people and never lets you "get her back" so to speak. It was a huge success and we really took her by surprise. Here is the how the digs looked (we did it at Aunt Visor's house onnacuzza she hearts Amy and also has a huge backyard). I used her "favorites list" on her blog as the theme. One of those is, of course, her boys smiles. So I stole her kids one weekend when she was out of town and did a little photo shoot. On the table is also tags of her fave things that we had there at the partay. I turned to Aunt Visor, who watches an unnatural amount of HGTV, for the outdoor decor set up. She did a flanktastic job (notice the candle lights hanging in the trees).
And here is the Shederton's in all of their 80's glory. Shed was SOO excited to peg his pants. And I have on none other than FER REALZIES "Dyeables" shoes. I'll let you borrow them if you want. Notice the side ponytail kickin.
Here we all are waiting for her knock on the door. How much do you love the pantsuit? Thank you Alana!!!!
Wha? I thought we were going to the movies!!
This is soooo Amy,......took her camera out and took pictures of US singing to her.

Here is the group watching the slide show of photos over the years of Amy, to 80's music si claro.
Aunt Visor and I each made the famous "Choc Buttermilk Bunt Cake" for her. Here is one of them as we sing to the birthday girl. ps. I think Amy had that cake for breakfast today.

This one is to emphasize the earrings and ponytail and bangs that happened after I threw her in the bathroom and had my way with her (courtesy of Goodwill thank you). Btw, her bangs just KNEW what to do with that pick and hairspray. HEART them!!
Getting her snow cone machine that we bought her to use when we all congregate at her pool during the summer almost every day. I'll bring the flavors Girlfriend!
A sampling of the cuteness of 80's girls that were there. Dana, Amy, Kelli (Joneses), Liesl (Luthi) and Sara (SAS). All blogging girls!
So, in short, it was SUPER FLANKALISCIOUS fun. Happy Birthday Girlfriend! And you aren't aloud to do anything for me in return. Then I'll be forced to throw you another surprise party at some time in the future.

I'm glad your party turned out great. You gize all looked pretty flanky. I can't wait to see what sort of party my friends throw for me next year. They've never thrown one before, so I am sure it's cuz they've been waiting for this next one.

I was really hoping for Ugly 80s, ya know? You gize look too pretty. I would have been the ugliest thing that ever was if I was there. I can look super ugly if I want to.

I've never had a party for me--surprise or otherwise. If anyone ever gets the idea to throw one for me, make it ugly. That'll make me smile.

The party was awesomely fun and turned out great. Em did such a fantastic job of planning down to the last detail. (She is such a great detail queen--don't know where she got that). Amy's face was worth a million dollars as she came through the door totally shocked and not knowing how to respond. The menu was hilarious--Amy's favorites. Bet she never had them all in one place at one time. Happy Birhtday Amy.

Oh, but I just realized it sounded like I didn't think your party was rad and totally 80s! You managed to make it look super flank and all Aqua Netty, but also tasteful. You are surely the best, best friend ever to go to so much trouble.

But remember you gize, make my surprise party ugly, so I don't feel out of place.

You have quite the fun life. I am jealous of the 80's party. Who doesn't love that.

WoW!! I absolutely love your outfit. It really takes me back to high school days. My bangs used to be so high they'd flop over in the wind. I guess the Aqua Net wasn't strong enough for my mass of bangs! The party looks amazing!! You should send the pix into a magazine. It is definitely worthy of publication! Great job.
