Did somebody say School Picture Day?

It's that time of year, isn't it? I may have mentioned to a few of you that I forgot to fill out the little paper thingy for picture day. This paper lets you choose the packet selection for the pictures you want to buy, along with the background color or any extras that you might desire. So, apparently if the parents don't turn this in on time, they let the kids pick which background color they want. I guess blue is not so bad. This one actually coordinates with his shirt and eyes.

But what about this little gem?

Have mercy, I heart that kid.

Oh my...those are so cute. I am not going to post my kids school pics. I didn't know it was picture day, and I am sure it is the ugliest I had sent them to school. I am serious. They look good every day except that one... Whatcha gonna do? I love the pursed mouth. I think he has a secret. Mysterious.

Those are AWESOME, I thought my kids were the only ones who couldn't do school pic day. I can't believe I paid money for those.

Hey, you know what is cooler that one Katie to blog with? Two, you see I have this sister that blogs and she is baffled by my comments. She is insanely jealous so i told her that I was the queen of all the bloggers and I could tell them to do something and they would totally do it. So, anyways, she thought she would challenge me and see if I could get all my super funny and cool blog friends to leave a comment on her blog. (I think she wants to know what it feels like to be a cool as me-like that is ever going to happen) If you wouldn't mind, could you leave a comment on her blog so she can feel special. the link is Heaton family from my blog. Thanks, I knew you would do it! Anyone else that reads this, it would be cool if you did it too. Just pretend she is me because, she really, really wants to be.

I heart those boys too. Those pictures capture their personalities pretty well don't they?

I'm trying to decide which one I like more the serious/mature look or the goofy/woops look. Either way they are keepers for sure!

Why does Brains think he's too cool for school pics??? He's all "This is the look I give in my urban chic pics my mom takes so Imma do it here too." And Boogs.... will you ask him what is going on inside his head right there? I need to know.

Katie...you told me that getting people to comment your sister was your sister's christmas prezzie! You are such a liar.

Sorry, but thanks for demonstrating why I DON'T buy school pictures. I do love how those pictures capture your boys' personalities.

I only buy the one 5x7 each year. It's a few buck and I always get a good laugh out of it. Remember the days when our parents used to FRAME these? lollerz

Brains is obviously too cool, fer super duh. (for ANYTHING btw) And CrackerBoogs is just,..........well........

Yes I am with Emily on the noschoolpicsthanksforthereminder. I do think that you should take over the school picture taking services since yours are WAY superior to these. Why would aquamarine be an option for a background? Though admittedly Brains looks pretty cool.

I am so with you on the school pics. I buy the 5x7 and a few wallets (Ms. Lins likes to share with friends?). It's always a race to make sure we get rid of ALL of them.

I love it! We actually had to do retakes this year. Normally I tell the kids their pix look good no matter what, but this year I burst into peals of laughter when I saw Ian's! It is so hard for me to try to be a good mom!

I always buy school pictures, cuz one year my mom didn't buy my school picture and I was so offended. Why the H wouldn't she want a picture of her own kid?

So, I'm thinking Cracker visited the drinking fountain just before he was up, and has a mouthful of water. Those "professional" picture-takers should have made him swallow or spit it out.

Just for the record, I am cooler than Katie. She is the one that has ALWAYS wanted to be like me. But still thanks for the comment. I have to admit that I feel cool now because I think 12 comments for one post is a record. Anyhow, love the school pictures.

I always buy the pics too. They are classic & will be used later for senior roasts, wedding videos, etc.

It's like, they are so bad, they're good, you know?

I LOVE these pictures. And if I was you I would have been so mad I didn't get the 11x14 to have matted and framed. (Neon backgrounds pretty much go with anything)

A couple years ago Britton actually convinced the picture guy that I had marked the wrong color.(Gray)That I really wanted a blue background for him. Britton thought I wanted the blue because we had talked about it but then I changed my mind and forgot to tell him. So he thought he was doing the right thing. But come on, he was a 4th grader at the time. So for a whole year I had 1 gray background and 1 bright blue background on my wall. But at least it wasn't gem green. giggle
