Christmas Card Preview

These won't be on my Christmas card, gize. At least, I think they won't be. I have plans for other shots. Of course, those shots involved a few choice crows feet and a possible mascara smudging. (on Shed, not me)

It's amazing the absolute lack of flaws on a young child's face. The well-hydrated skin. The breakage-free hair.

The clear, well rested eyes. And those pores!! So tiny and free of "build-up".
Yet somehow this one down here manages to create an heir of "adult" without even daring to show hint of wrinkles or fatigue. I think he's just rubbing it in, really. I birthed that boy. That tiny (well, tiny is relative to 8lbs9oz), helpless, poop/scream machine just a mere 11 years ago. And now he wears a bigger shoe size than me.
Hang on, I've gotta go...

My future self is texting me to get off the computer and put on some face cream.

Wow. Those boys look just like their dad!

I noticed you didn't say anything about the teeth. ::snicker::

The skin...my heck, the skin. So jealous.

Aunt Visor will be reprimanding you for that comment Landee. She's very sensitive about Cracker's teeth. She might even put LESS homemade caramels in your little baggie for our girls trip.

What's to be sensitive about? Every kid that age has those teefs! And the flawless skin. Once the teeth are fixed, the skin goes crazy. It's just the circle of life.

::hoping AV doesn't jip me on the caramels::

Good looking boys! If you want to feel better about yourself, take a close look at any photo of me! You'll feel so young and beautiful.

You got me feeling jealous about kids' because of their perfect skin. They don't even wash their faces with Cetaphil or moisturize! But then I read Landee's comment about teeth. Take that kids! My teeth are better than yours.

Jacks teeth and Riley's "blemish" bring these pictures to life!

Landee, Landee, Landee. Do you not know that little boy is super sensitive and his Gramma is very protective of said Crackers? We choose to IGNORE imperfections and choose denial as a good coping skill. WE know he will grow out of any toofy issues but he is very aware and hardly ever smiles with his mouth open. That picture is rare and beautiful and I'm still thinking over your portion of soft caramels. I'm just not sure yet what I will send. I'm just not sure. . . wiping away a Gramma's tear.

Ignoring doesn't make it go away, AV. You should hear what we say to TBone... "Hey TBone, you and your jacked up teeth need to get over here STAT!" Then we constantly look closely at them and discuss his poor brushing skills and how Christmas will be small this year because we need to start saving for his braces. He's better for it.

Believe me, if I could cut his hair to cover them up, I so would.

Suggestion: Cut hair--glue to upper lip as a mustache. Problem solved.

Those boys are smokin'! If this is just a sampling, I can't wait to get the actual card.

PS. I'm super envious of Brain's teeth, and Crackers ain't too shabby either. I'm calling the ortho today to set up Cord's appointment...

Did your future self also drop a baguette in the Large Hadron Collider?

I just don't think they could be any more adorable. Gorgeous!

At what age do I have to stop calling boys beautiful?... because those three are! Love the shots. Ahhh... Christmas cards... yes, that's somewhere in my brain. Can't wait to see yours!
