Parenting is hard slash funny

1) My oldest son was suspended from school last week. Why you ask? Oh he just figured out how to program his computer in the lab to remotely shut down other students computers. I didn't know if I should punch a wall or declare him the next Steve Jobs. Did I mention he also came up with his own theorem for multiples of 11? Yeeeeah. Help you gize!!!

2) Numero Dos child has sleep issues. The, "I can't sleep cuz I'm scared but I don't know why I'm scared" and comes out of his bed 100 times a night. The same thing happened to me and I'm sure AV will confirm that all the Parks kids had sleep issues. But REALLY?!! My patience is wearing thin.

3) Little troublemaker/comedian/life of the party boy has been named student of the month this month!!! His teacher is the bestest and I heart her long time. And btw, while getting ready for church this morning the convo with Char Char went like this:

Shed: why do you get so dressed up for church?

Char: it's all about the ladies

Can you gize pleasekthanks advise?

Sorry, no advice for freaky kids.
I have my own set of crazies around here! I def need to call you tomorrow.

#1- Never had a kid suspended...knock on wood.
#2- My 8 year old is having the SAME issues...please shoot me. We did make the dog start sleeping with her. Helps a little.
#3- My #3 keeps me in stitches all the time and I LOVE it. He actually used the word "pastery" in a sentence the other day wha?

For the eldest child, embrace his smartness and encourage him to do more things like that. Suspension is a small price to pay for a child that will grow up to be a billionaire for inventing something computer-y-ish.

For the middle child, drug him and never look back.

And for your baby, you don't need any advise because apparently you have done everything right so far. His is after all, the student of the month.

If you don't like my advice, then just buy Amy's parent book. It should be out soon.

No advice needed--you and Shed are doing a WONDERFUL job with those three bubba's. I belly laughed at Char's comment--so him. It just comes natural to him. And I agree with Eeka--Benedril never hurt anyone.

If these are the worst of your issues, I say you are doing pretty dang good! Keep up the good work! :)

Bailey's friend did a similar thing with the computer at school, only he took over the teacher's computer. Genius.
I tell my kids if they get scared and need to come in my room they can, as long as I am unaware of it. It's the only time they're allowed to be sneaky.
I'd give anything for a ladies man/student of the month!

Eden is in the scared every night phase and I am going nuts.

I can't believe how freakishly smart your brains is.

And Char...my goodness he's adorable. So is Cracker though.

Amanda-- just realizing Celeste is still logged on.

Boys aren't boys unless they get suspended at least once.

Take the middle one to a shrink. Some serious anxiety issues going on there. He's just a kid, so it's probably chemical, not psychological.

^5 to Char Char.

Btw, congrats on the surgery! It's good to know you're feeling better.

1--you're gonna be the mother of a rich son one day, which means you need to keep him on your good side. Solution: In front of the principle, act like you're all disappointed in him, and then in private, tell Brains good job and you're so proud of him.

2--My kids are huge chickens, but they're getting better. I was the same way when I was a kid, and remember how it felt to feel scared, so I, too, have a "sleep on the floor" policy if they get scared in the night. Don't worry, tho. Cracker'll grow out of it.

3--Next thing you know, it'll be an employee of the month award from Taco Bell. They grow up so fast! sniff.

Still a big follower of the blog. So darn freaking witty. Hope everything works out with the suspension. My kid called someone a bad name and didn't get suspended cause he didn't call the teacher the name. Go figure....

Oldest: sell him off to another family. You don't need a bad seed like that under your roof!

Middle: Tie him to his bed at night. Duh.

Youngest: castration

::high-fiving self:: Too easy.
