Life IS a long hard labor

Here are the lyrics in case you don't get the full effect from the video

Life can sometimes come
in an uncomfortable direction

But although that life is hard and long
it's good

Life is a hard type of labor

Life is a long type of labor

But it's good

Life, although it's hard, and long,
it's good

Life is hard
is long
is good

Ok. So part of me is laughing to the point of peeing my pants, and the other part of me wants to slit my wrists it's so depressing. But the kids is actually, really talented! I was really hoping you'd post this. Thanks!!!

I see some U2-ish type of truths budding from Riley's lyrics (although not obvious, I cannot think of a higher compliment for an upcoming artist)! Put me at the top of the waiting list for the album, please. Is it on Amazon yet?

SO FLIPPING CUTE!! How can you stand it EM. I think I would be pinching him all day, is he for real??? I really hope he will look up my MCKINLEY when he gets home from his mission.

But Amanda--life is long and hard but it is "good". I sense the optimism coming through there. But yeah, I found it used all my energy to suppress the giggles when he sang it to me. He's a way cool kid that one.

Becky we will keep McKinley on the short list. ::wink wink::

Wow that was deep. Do you think he could write something for me to sing at Molly's wedding? Wait...maybe he should sing that song.

#1--omg...I love the guitar chords and the song seems like it could actually be a real hit, however...
#2--I am thinking of calling Health & Welfare--what kind of a sweatshop does that kid live in?

Wow! I see some serious raw talent. That was angst ridden! Where does that come from? I'm thinking a future Kurt Cobain.

I have NO clue how you contained yourself on that one. I kept waiting to hear a snicker, chuckle or a complete teary belly laugh like I would have done!

The jump off the bed at the end definantly my very favorite part. Someday he might possibly hate you for that. Or maybe he'll be a rich star?

He begged me to put it up so everyone can see. "Are you done uploading it yet mom?" I can't believe I have such a cool kid.

Does he take lessons? When I first read it, I thought childbirth type of labor for some reason. And I was wondering why your son would be writing and singing a song about childbirth. But, I get it now. He needs to hook up with "Destiny's Mama"!
